Reminder: my next community event is on Thursday
See you on Thursday at the Hawthorn Arts Centre for our next community event.
Dear friend,
It can be really difficult to get answers to questions about your utilities bills, scams, government payments, and banking.
So we thought we would bring together ten organisations in one place, to help answer your questions.

Drop by the Hawthorn Arts Centre this Thursday for the ‘Bring Your Bill’ drop-in session, where you’ll be able to ask questions of Services Australia, Camcare, Boroondara Community Outreach, The Salvation Army, the Energy and Water Ombudsman, Community Information & Support Victoria (CISVic), the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman, Yarra Valley Water and the City of Boroondara.
We’re also hosting my sixth Town Hall straight after the drop-in session, which you are more than welcome to stay on for.

At the Town Hall I’ll share my thoughts about the government’s Budget, present the results of the recent Kooyong Cost-Of-Living Survey — completed by almost 5,000 people — and leave plenty of time for questions.
Hosting these community events are an important part of being an Independent. My top priority is listening to you so that I can best represent you in Canberra.
Please do get in touch via email at [email protected] if you have any questions or feedback.
All the best,

P.S. We’ve also now opened RSVPs for our ‘Understanding Superannuation’ event with Services Australia’s Financial Information Services team, coming up from 10:30am-12:00pm on Tuesday, 11 June at South Camberwell Gospel Hall. Click here to book in your free spot.
There will be a Chinese-language version of the event straight after that you can RSVP for here.
